THE ATROCITY CIRCLE is almost finished editing. We are awaiting two sequences to have some final sound tweaking to be doen and the movie is in the can. Despite two years worth of setbacks, problems and nightmares the movie has turned out pretty good if I do say so myself! Ugly, urban and in your face, the way a movie of this genre should be. We are awaiting information on where and when a premiere will happen. Keep checking back for details.

Some news finally. SAMANTHA is now titled THE ATROCITY CICRCLE and the editing has finally begun under the talents of Henrique Couto of Freak Productions. He is doing an excellent job. In other more personal news I was in a major car accident, which by all rights should have killed me, but somehow did not. Here are some pictures of the car and me. So if I take a while to respond or have been out of touch, forgive me, things are stressful right now. Also we are no longer using CCNow to process credit cards. So you will have to order the movies directly form use through old fashioned snail mail. ! Sorry!

It has been a long while since this page was updated, so here is a few bits of latebreakign news. First off our film HER NAME WAS SAMANTHA is no longer going to be released through Sub Rosa Studios or their "extreme" imprint. Unfortunatley this means that the incredible Eric Stanze will not be doing our editing or post-production, which saddens me greatly. But the decision was the right way to go for everyone involved. We are currently in post on our own and looking for a new distributor.

This past weekend was the first, hopefully annual, Scary Camp convention. Several projects were going on there including the as yet untitle Josh Weinberg Versus TV show by our pal Bryan Brassfield. Also Myself and Henrique Couto of Freak Productions played roles in LOW BUDGET PICTURES Slatest movie FILTHY MCNASTY 3: APOCALYPSE FUCK! We got to play paranormal Investigators Ala THE X-FILES who get more than we bargain for. Fun times. For pics of us in action click HERE.

Otherwise things are on the slow cooker for now. We'll see what happenes.

Alright the time is finally
Here! The DVD's of BLACK SUN and FREAKSHOW DELUXE are ready and available! Both movies have commentaries and extras. Get 'em while their hot! The Trailer for HER NAME WAS SAMANTHA is online! Go HERE to check it out!

I also added a very special photo gallery to the site featuring our lead actress Michelle McLaughlin. Michelle has done two movies with Apparition films, as well as appeared with us at the Twisted Nightmare Weekend. Check out her first Gallery HERE!

Hopefully we'll get some photo gallerues of our other actors and Actresses soon.

The double Feature night at 1470 West went really well. Thanks to all who came out and made it a success!

BLACK SUN is finished! After three years and a whole world of hurt, the movie is finally in the can. The Final DVD was delivered today and is a thing of Beauty. Authored by FREAK PRODUCTIONS. The movie is still on for the world Premiere at the Twisted Nightmare Weekend. Then will have a Dayton Premiere in November (see to the left for details!).

Some news around these fronts. First off is our night of Blood, gore and total terror to be held at 1470 West. See the ad to the left for the details.

FREAKSHOW DELUXE is being authored on DVD right now and will be ready for the Twisted Nightmare convention.
Extras include a director Commentary and trailers.

Editing on BLACK SUN is moving nicely. About 30 minutes or so are fnished and have gotten good response. The movie looks like it will have the world premiere at The Twisted NightMare Convention, so if anyone knows some adventuous distributors tell 'em to come by and see the flick! Hell! Tell everyone!

Apparition Film's Actress Michelle Maclaughlin recently had a bouncing Baby boy named Devon Michael! So congradulations to her and her Husband on the new addition.

On a sad note Our dear Friend Fred Lehman passed away last month from complications from Crones disease. There has never been someone quite like Fred and never will be. His unique perspective on everything in the universe was a gift to the world and is missed by all knew or ever met him.

THE MUTILATION MAN is finally available on DVD from Sub Rosa Studios. You can order it from any reliable online dealer. It has tons of extras and several hidden Easter eggs as well. Go get it now! Right now!

HER NAME WAS SAMANTHA is ALMOST finished shooting, some unforseeable problems have delayed the finish for a bit, but it is being worked on.

BLACK SUN is editing right now and shooting for a September 2003 finish. If all goes well (and when has that ever happened!) it will premiere at the Twisted Nightmare Weekend in Akron Ohio the weekeknd of Spet. 19, 20, 21.

Speaking of that convention, Director, producer and all around reciever of abuse Andrew Copp will be a geust at there. Stop by and pick up some movies, chat or give him sympathy for just being him! We'll see you there!

www.B-movie.com for pre-orders. Last I heard it will ship around May and start hitting stores in June. So go pre-order your copy today! You wont be sorry!

BLACK SUN is currently back on track as far as editing goes. There are eight minutes in the can as I write this. The peice is coming together well. I can't really tell you what to expect, but I think my artistic vision is coming through.

FREAKSHOW DELUXE is finished. It will Premiere on Public Access TV in Tipp City, Ohio Friday March 1st, at 8:00 pm. This documentary about Reverand Tommy Gunn and his partner is self mutilation Wolf explores their recent sideshow act that was staged at Blue Jacket's Haunted PSYCHO-PATH trail in 2002. Copies will be available for sale soon.

HER NAME WAS SAMANTHA begins shooting the second weekend in March! After far too many delays due to casting troubles, we have finally got the go-ahead with 99% of the cast in place. Click Here for more details!

The MUTILATION MAN DVD has a release date of Feb. 11, 2003 if all goes well. It should be available all over the net and in most good stores. The disc will be packed with extras not available before!

Apparition films recently shot a documentary called FREAKSHOW DELUXE about the Reverand Tommy Gunn and his Partner in mutilation The Wolf. the film covers their freakshow act and should be a real eye opener! The movie is editing now!

Speaking of editing, BLACK SUN is inthe Editing process! We had a computer crash and lost the work up till now, so we had to start over! Yikes! But hte movie is finished with principal photography (after two hard years!) and has some effects shots and the editing to go. Hopefully we will see it done by mid 2003!

 

 

NEWS October 2002

The project for SUB ROSA EXTREME now has a finished script. The flick is tentatively titled HER NAME WAS SAMANTHA (yes that IS a reference to the flick HER NAME WAS LISA from Roger Watkins!). The title may change though, so stay tuned.

Apparition film is in the process of looking for actresses to participate in the project. See the link to the left for all the details.

BLACK SUN has begun editing, finally! This could take some time, so check back regularly.

We have heard through the grapevine that LOW BUDGET PICTURES has mention of Apparrition Films director Andy Copp in their currently in production FILTHY MCNASTY 2. I suppose that being made fun of is the sincerest form of flattery! Honestly though, check out their stuff, you'll laugh your behind off!

NEWS June 2002

APPARITION FILMS, &
SUB ROSA STUDIOS have teamed up to bring the latest SUB ROSA EXTREME project to a glowing TV tube near you. The feature is yet to be titled but here are the details that are locked down:

The Motion Picture is to be written and Directed by Andrew M. Copp of Apparition films and shot in the Dayton, Ohio Area.

The story is a throwback to the drive-in movies of the seventies with nods to the films of Paul "I DISMEMBER MAMA" Leder especially. The story concerns a young man who is killing everyone he witnessed involved in a gang rape when he was a younger person. His revenge will be bloody swift and severe. This one will be for the fans of hardgore revenge cinema such as "I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE" and "MY FRIENDS NEED KILLING".

The post production will be performed by cult filmmaker Eric Stanze, marking the first collaboration of these two filmmakers. Shooting will commence in Late July 2002. If all goes well the movie will be ready for release in early 2003 from Sub Rosa Studios.

OTHER NEWS

The second feature from Andrew Copp, BLACK SUN is nearing the completion of shooting after nearly two years of work. The final shoots will take place in July 2002. With editing to take place after the shooting of the SUB ROSA EXTREME project.
